dishwasher/hot water bath with VISE IT
« on: November 13, 2009, 04:44:14 AM »
I have been using the dishwasher cleaning method for years with success. Is there any problem with running the VISE IT system in hot water or in the dishwasher?

I don't use soap.  Dishwasher soap is pretty harsh and has different surfactants in it.  I imagine it could alter the surface.
I would just do without it.

I have the IT system and i just ran a couple balls through the dishwasher on tuesday and had no problems at all.  As a precautionary measure i would have the thumb hole facing the bottom so no water will collect in there.

Just so you know I had one go bad in my Perfect Rival after giving it a hot water bath. It just turned and turned after it locked in...probably a little safer in the dishwasher though I would think.

I did a hot water bath with a ball that had the IT in it.  No real problem except the day after water still dripped out of the thumb hole.  I'd personally be worried about the glue for the molly losing its effect after a couple times.
