I've only had scotch a few times. I did buy a bottle of Johnny Walker (red label) once and thought it was interesting. It's an aquired taste. I've also never had any Irish whiskey or any other European whiskey. Canadian whiskey to me is all too either overly smooth, dull, weak or bland. Candian Mist is ok I guess. America has some good to great beers here, along with some very poor ones. The other alchoholic stuff like gin belongs to England, vodka belongs to Russia, tequilla belongs to Mexico. America has the best whiskey hands down.
Wild Turkey tastes like jet fuel...too strong and so so taste in my opinion. Jim Beam is tolerable but a little overated. Southern Comfort....I can't remember.
