Insert size

Do any of you use the same size inserts for both fingers ? I have always used a 4 for my ring and 4 1/2 for my middle. Noticed today that my middle fits nicely in the 4.

The 4 is probably worn enough that it's actually a 4 1/2.  --  JohnP

New insert, not in the ball.

Not in the ball means the insert can expand. Unless ball is drilled with vacu-grip method (1-1/32 hole), the insert will be tighter in the ball (31/32 hole).

4 is not a insert size, the size would be 11/16.

What is the 3,3 1/2, 4, 41/2, 5...... then if not sizes ? When I go to pso's and say I want a size 4 in my ring finger they know what I'm talking about. Aren't they both sizes ?

Semantics!  Size 4 and 11/16".  Like when you buy a shirt.  Some will state the chest size in inches, some will state the size as small, medium, large, etc.

Doesn't it depend on which manufacturer you are using?  Some use the fractions and some use a whole number system?

Vise puts both the fraction like 3/4 as a size AND whatever number they have listed. Like 4, 4.5, 5.....idk what the correlation is but I always go by the fraction.

On vises website 4.5 is 49/64

And it's whatever fits your fingers. My MF and ring are not the same size so I dont. Use the same grips...

In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]

I've come across instances where two of the same size inserts feel different. One is smaller than the other. This was also as it was in the hole (31/32) diameter. All I can say is that possibly the material used was a little different that particular day when they were poured and thus caused a little different "flex" in the grip making it feel larger. Aside from that, if your PSO decides to excessively sand out the hole to remove any glue residue, that will cause the hole to be bigger and in result make the grip fit a little looser.
