Title: Who favors the crankers?

Is there one ball company in your opinion that favors the high rev players? Not just one or two balls, but all the way through the lineup.

Real crankers hate Storm because they can't control alot of their stuff with the huge diff that most of their balls have.  The "mock" crankers love it since they like to see that huge backend reaction.  The real crankers that have natural hand that they can't really calm down like Brunswick and Ebonite because their equipment is alot smoother on the back, earlier in the mids, so they can blend the patterns and maintain control.  Now the Tweeners and spinners of the world are stuck in limbo

Most of the crankers around here throw Storm.

Then why does the "Rev Master" Robert Smith throw Storm?

DavidKSNK,

The thing you have to understand about Robert Smith, yes he is the rev master.  HOWEVER, he throws the ball sooo hard that he can take the flippiness out of the ball, meaning the ball is going so fast that the ball never really gets good traction to exaggerate the backend.  NOW...take his release and cut the ball speed to 17.5-18 mph, I bet the ball is much more violent on the backend.

I actually perfer Brunswick, and Roto Grip.  I tried Storm and all their equipment dies quick for me so I got tired of always buying new stuff all the time.  

So to answer your question I think Brunswick and Roto Grip.

Oh, yeah.  I almost forgot.  The actual topic of this posting.  What companies support crankers.  Hmmmmmmmmm.........I have had success with alot of different companies.  I have had most success with Columbia, Track, and Visionary.

Balls I have shot well with:

AMF:  Hawk
Brunswick: Inferno, Danger Zone, Black Ice Danger Zone, Speed Zone
Columbia:  Beasts, Tour Boss, Cuda 2000, Rock On, Rock Star
Ebonite:  Pearl Tidal Wave, Panther
Faball:  Hammer 3D Series, Blue Hammer
Track:  Critical Masses, Crunch, Triton Heat, Triton Elites, Dry Heat
Visionary:  Green Gargoyle, Crimson Executioner, Centaur

This ought to show you that there really isn't any one company that works better for crankers or strokers.  As the great Jabroni has stated about 147 times on this site, "It is about matching up the ball to the lane condition."

no thumbers are a disgrace to bowling. when you see a ball with 3 holes in a pyramid, what do you think of? bowling, when you see a ball with 2 holes in it what do you think of? face

Being a cranker myself I would say it was a tie. Storm and Big B.
Not all storm stuff is skid/flip. I have not had that reaction with my Duece or ER. As far as lack of controle with the S/F balls I don't agree. I love my Apocolypse, it is limited to lane condition or it hooks a foot to soon. All in the bowler not the type of bowler.

I'm another "heavy handed" person and I have always liked Storm!  Got to remember that not everyone that rev's the ball will get the same amount of length or break at the end due to their ball speed and hand position.

Yes he is being paid to. However, if Storm equipment did not work well for him he would not be using it.

I don't deny that if you dropped his speed and kept his release the ball would most certainly be much more violent on the backend. But this would happen with any ball he throws Storm or not.

I see the extremes, either Storm or Ebonite(J.Couch).  The crankers that really want the late break, tend to like Storm equipment.  I personally know other crankers to like the control look from Ebonite and DT cause they can really get up on it and they won't be as squirrely.
