Who uses the Griip Glove?
« on: March 07, 2014, 02:30:02 PM »
I'm just curious about who uses this glove and how they like it or not like it.

I researched and only found a hand full of reviews. It seems like it's not as popular as I thought. I don't plan on using one even though I flirted with the idea. But, any device on my hand takes away the feel that I prefer. I've used regular gloves before, but they're thin enough for me to feel the ball at the base of my finger(s).  The pad on the palm on the Griip glove looks like it takes away some feel of the ball. I could be wrong, but the strap around the hand makes it seem that way too - take the "feel" factor way.

Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

Ah ok, that makes sense.

The glove offers padding around the fingers that you can not get with a good fit. The fingertips are thick enough to where you can hardly feel that they are in the ball. You have to try the glove to fully understand.

As for increasing revs or speed-- that's all just hype. Or, at least it was for me.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Xrayjay,
Try PMing Duke Harding. I know he used one and put it through a good workout. He didn't like it either. But he should be albe to give you good report on it's pros/cons.

Jorge300,

Happened to stop by today, saw the post. LOL! :-)

I had bought the glove trying to help my arthritis in my bowling hand....didn't work, ball felt terrible, fell off my hand, less revs than I had... I gave the glove to some other bowler.

What helped my arthritic hand: no more finger grips, also shortened my span.

Still have L-4, L-5 damage, torn bicep tendon (scarring), rotator cuff damage, C-1, C-2 neck damage all bowling / baseball / fishing related.

Went from 30 games a week to three... that helped the most.

I finally took my doctor's advice. 50+ years of bowling or anything else to excess is not good. 8^D

Arthritis and/or DDD at your L and C spines? Wow..plus other stuff going on, Shoulder on the bowling side?

Thanks for the update...anyway, I figured that any hand/wrist device used will alter span somewhat.
