I often wondered if any of the old balls at your local bowling center have any value on EBay?  So here is a little game us BR members can play.  During your next trip to a center in your area you just need to find a ball that is on the rack and list it on EBay starting your auction at .01 cent and see where it gets to after a 7 day listing. 

If you want to play just post your listing here and post results of the sale.  I would be interested on what balls get posted and how much they sell for.  I will be searching the racks this weekend looking for my ball.  Good luck to those that want to play.

Would it be ok if the owner of the bowling center took a ball out of your bag and sold it on ebay?

Not talk about a nice new shiny house ball that is in play....at the centers I bowl at there is a hodge podge of old balls that haven't seen the pins in decades then there is always the occasional reactive ball that finds its self to the rack. 

LOL...See that ball could of been a winner.  There was a left handed Red Pulse there too a few weeks back.  Those are the gems I'm talking about.  At salt river there was a blue storm too hot the one with sparkles.

I left it there, so that's why I know it was there   It was on it's 2nd drill, but still, a good piece. 

Based on my recent experience, this could end up costing you...  eBay seems to have recently been underestimating shipping charges quite a bit (ex.  Last ball I sold..eBay calculated $17, online ups charged $23).  Also, with eBay and PayPal fees, packing materials, and time/gas to get to the UPS store, you almost need a $25+ sale price just to break even. 

Play if you will, but this is a friendly reminder that it will likely cost you!

If you print out your shipping label through EBay then pay it though your EBay account what they quote is what you get charged.  I too experienced what you mentioned above but now I just use EBay to print my shipping labels and no more issues.

I'm not worried about a few dollars for a little entertainment, I'm not doing this to make millions.

there is a Storm El Nino and a Brunswick Monster SlayR at my center. surprisingly both balls are almost my span especially the El Nino. I decided to throw them 1 day and threw 8 in a row with the El Nino, the ball still has lots of life with the hook I was getting.
