Who would like to see a Ron Clifton 3 day Clinic?
« on: March 31, 2005, 12:23:52 AM »
Who would like to see the Ron Clifton 3 Day Clinic come to their state?

I am starting to put together my clinics for the summer.
I get request all the time for the clinics through the internet. The problem is the internet is far reaching so the bowlers are spread out all over the country…even the world.

If you would like a chance to attend a clinic post here what town and state you are in.
Maybe we can find some groups of people that are close enough together.

Here is what a 3 day clinic consists of:
At least 6 hours of on lane instruction each day.

Video Analysis:

Bowlers will be video taped with a “state of the art” high speed digital
video camera and reviewed in “network quality” slow motion and freeze frame by Ron Clifton.
Ron then discusses the changes he thinks would best help the bowler and why.
Ron spends a lot of time explaining “WHY”.

On the lane instruction:
Ron divides the learning process into small parts that
are designed to "reprogram" and "teach" muscle memory. The bowler will be shown easy drills
that will teach individual muscle groups to perform in the right manner. Each drill is like pieces
of a puzzle that come together to from a better bowler.
Ball fit and equipment check:
Each bowler’s equipment will be checked for proper fit and hole pitches. Ron has made tremendous improvements in bowlers just by suggesting different thumb pitches.
Free sample of Ron C’s Magic Carpet:
Each attendee will get free samples of Ron C's Magic Carpet  Ron C’s Magic Carpet has helped bowlers set state, national and world records. Get a crisp clean release from the thumb like never before possible.

Clinic cost is usually between $250 and $300 per person depending on lineage fees to the host center.
If you don't know who I am read all my articles on www.bowl4fun.com
Some of the great posters here have attended my clinics so maybe some of them will post what they thought of them.
Bowl great!

Ron, if you could get one going in eastern Washington I'd be there - but it would be difficult.  If you had one in western Wa. I'd go, depending on my schedule.  I'd love to do it, but since I live about 6 miles up the road from nowhere it's going to be difficult.

Ron-
You definately need to have one in the Midwest.  I'm in Rockford, IL.  That's north central IL, right on the southern border of Wisconsin.  Maybe Rockford, Madison, Milwaukee, or a Chicago burb?  Make it happen!

Ron whether or not it counts, I know a few more people from central jersey that would be interested in a 3 day clinic. Honestly, the best house for this kinda thing would be at carolier.

I believe you held a clinic at Fox Bowl in Wheaton, IL last summer, I would love to attend a seminar in the northwest Chicagoland suburbs, Dupage, Cook,  or Kane county?  Somewhere in the burbs though.

toddler95,
I think you are thinking of a little center in Plano, IL
That was a great older place. Super nice guys there.
Steve Ford PBA regional player has a pro shop in there and hosted the clinic for me.

Mabey it was someone else that did the clinic then, Fox Bowl is where Steve Jaros has his pro shop at.  Anyways, I would love to attend one of your clinics in the burbs of Chicago, preferably the western to northwestern burbs.

You guys in NJ, can you ask your bowling center managers if they would like to host a Ron Clifton 3 day Clinic? Check on what they will do for lineage.

All the rest of you guys don't give up. Ask your friends and center managers about hosting.
I really need at least 6 bowlers ( but no more than 8 )to make it affordable for everyone.  A good deal on the lineage is like $20 to $50 per person for all 3 days. Some centers actuallly donate the lineage.
Bowl great!

I'm still trying to talk the base center manager into considering it.  He said he's never heard of Ron Clifton.  Then again, he didn't know many of the top PBA players names I threw at him.

If he is a bowler have him read the articles I have written on www.bowl4fun.com. Over 10,000 people a month from all over the world read them plus some of the guys on tour.

If he is not a bowler but has an interest in promoting business for the center then a clinic is a great thing. The people that attend the clinic always practice a lot more games after the clinic is finished...not counting all the games that are bowled during the clinic. If the center has a proshop they usually do a lot of business as well.

I did a clinic last summer on a base in Az and it went well. Ballreviews poster Mi 2 AZ hosted and put that one together and he wants to do it again this year.

Sir Lefty
NJ is looking good. I still need someone to scout out a center. (See post above)

Northwest coast July 5-12.
 I want to be there!
I have a "Car" thing I want to attend at Mt. Shasta July 14-17 so I would love to come out a week early and work with some bowlers.
A 1 day, 2 day or 3 day clinic would be great for the weekend of July 8-10 if someone wanted to help me set that up.

I could do one on ones or something on the week days.

I could do this anywhere within a 400 mile radius of Mt. Shasta.

I will make a separate post on this but I am just throwing some thoughts out now.
