« on: April 19, 2009, 10:59:08 AM »
I just saw someone leave the 2-4-5-10. I've never seen that before.

You might not have bowled as much as some other people.

I have also seen
- 2/4/5/7/10
- 4/5/7/10
- 2/4/5/8/10

The 7-8-9-10 is really interesting. Saw a little girl leave that a couple years ago. She was excited because she knocked so many down.

Last Monday the lane to me a righty left a 2-5-7-10...flush pocket.
He fell on his face, on the approach.

Flush pocket? Hardly. There is no such thing as a flush 2-pin.

I've been bowling for 50 years, and have never seen a flush 2 pin...
But that is what happened...I have no idea how?
It was the talk of the league.

We had a guy leave the 4-5-6 this year in our Tuesday night league and everybody went down to see it cause we couldn't figure out how he left it!

A flush pocket hit will never leave a 2 pin standing, unless the rack spotted the two pin far off mark towards the five pin position.  Can't happen, a flush pocket hit will always drive the 1 pin directly into the 2 pin.

The fact that the shot also left a five pin says that what happened was a light hit that sent the 1 pin in front of the two off the wall to take out the four and eight while the ball deflected away from the five, hitting the six high sending it inside the ten and the ball finally taking out the nine.

As far as the OP, 2-4-5-10, nothing unusual with that leave.  I see it left almost every week during league.

I saw someone chop a 6-9 out of a full rack once. Still kind of impressive.

At nationals I saw a guy take out the
6 7 8 9 . The 6 went straight back hit the 9
which nicked the 8 and fell over and hit
the 7. He did pick up the spare.

Haha... I've actually done this...

HOWEVER...

I work at a bowling center. I was down by the pathfinders, pushing a 7 lb ball to the pit, cuz a little girl didn't have enough oomph to get the ball all the way... I didn't see it hit the pins cuz I was on my way back up the lane, but I looked down after I was back on the approach, and it was there... 7-8-9-10.

Her dad was like, "Bet you can't pick that up, Brad." To which I replied, "I think it'd be harder to leave than pick up..." There's no way a 15 lb ball can leave that.

Ever.

A guy I bowl with told me that he left the 1-2-3-4-5-6-8-9 once.

Thats right, he picked up the 7-10 on his first ball! lol
