What's up BR! It's been a very long time since I've been on here. How's everyone been?
Just curious... is superstition part of your game?? I used to be superstitious, but the last 5 years or so, I don't believe in them. A dropped towel, not bowling next to a 7-10 split, or stepping on the approach with the left foot first and rub the approach 3 times...
What's your superstition? (mine used to be a dropped towel. I had to refold them if I found it on the ground)
I stop being superstitious, I rather control my own fate/results/strikes/spares etc.. and not make superstition be an excuse of my mistakes lol.

my only real superstition is not bowling beside a big split. and for me, its not so much I am afraid of leaving a big split myself; its that bowling next to it changes my mind set from "stay smooth, don't rush, be relaxed" to "just throw a strike to prove the 7-10 didn't bother you".
that change in the mindset will 9 times out 10 bite in the ass and even acknowledging it, I cant help to have it happen.
-
Because bowling is dominated by the mental game. Anything that alters it will change how you would otherwise handle a situation conscious or self-consciously.
-
Not sure but I had a the front 8 Sunday and I almost walked to the approach from the next pair (was open) but I turned around and went normal way. Then left a 7 pin. lol
-
Because they’re retarded....
-
Because most bowlers have their heads filled with untruths, and when they're battling an invisible playing field, instead of logically looking at the result, they blame it on voodoo
-
Because they’re retarded....
HAHAHA
-
I know one of you out there are eager to make the, "I won't bowl with a big 4 next to me b/c it's in my mind, therefore affects my shot in some form or fashion whether big or small" comment as if it somehow constitutes an argument. ;D
-
There was a night in leagues when my teammate told me wait for both splits on each side to be bowled. I just went anyway. Ball deflected, ball went through the 9 and I left an 8 pin. Just barely missing the 8 pin, I here.."SEE I TOLD YOU." :D
-
Because they’re retarded....
+1
-
Because they want to blame anything but themselves when things go awry.
-
Why are so many bowlers superstitious?
Because they're humans.
And most humans are superstitious.

One of the greatest fallacies known to mankind.

I'm glad you changed your point of view.
As for the word, you spelled it wrong. The correct spelling is stupid-stitious.

Now you sound like a rational human being. Bowlers, on the whole, are not.
