Why are the ball companies so dumb?

If the USBC is making proposals to chnage equipment and other nonsense then why are ball companies still making new models now?

Uh.......have you actually read any of the proposals?  Nothing will hurt the ball companies in and of themselves, but rather just make prices higher for us, and make us replace our stuff.  They aren't "stupid".

Well 75 percent of new equipment out there is particle and if they ban it then they really have to go back to good reactive resins

What the hell are you smoking buddy?  I highly doubt it's anywhere near even 50% particle and 50% non-particle anymore.  A lot of companies are making the move to new generation reactives that are making particle balls more obsolete anyhow.

I was thinking more along the lines of new balls not particles in general because why should a company waste money if its not legal to use it?

Let's see sit and wait to see if the proposals go into "law". Or do the ball companies make new equipment and continue to make money. Well I know what I would do and that is to make money. So no the ball companies are not stupid like you say. If you were a ball company would you stop making equipment and let other companies continue to make equipment and soon have your business basicly be gone. Hell call me stupid I agree with the ball companies doing what they are doing. I don't think the changes will take place if they do we all will deal with them at that time.

Plese look up the definition of the word, "proposal".

Then please read all the words in the USBC proposals.

Then re-post your questions and/or comments.

Well, the changes (if approved) won't go into effect until 2006!  And, current equipment will be grandfathered in until 2008!
