Title: Why do I always do this?

If you looked at my series for last night you would have said I had a better than average night.  My average is 192 and I shot 615.  The only problem is my second game was a 245 and my third was a 230, and a freakin 140 my first game, yeah I said 140.  It seems like every week it is something like that.  I will kill a series with a "ten frame brain fart", or kill a game with two or three frames of mental flatulation.  Maybe one day I can be consistent.

Slipknot, you are not alone out there, I assure you that. There are more members of this Club out there than you will ever know, but some won't admit it. Some like myself, are even lifetime members.

Im with you man! I shot a 578 last night, had a 255 for the last game, the first 2 were like...well...young eyes are upon us, they shouldnt see that shame. BUT....Im the same way, usually have at least one bad game for league.

Slipknot, I'm with ya. In my summer sport shot league I'm very consistent; two games around 190-200 and a five open 140.  I'll miss a 4 pin, a 7 pin, a 10 pin and have 2 splits typically.  Always the 1st or second game - I don't know why and it's killing me.  It's like I see the train wreck coming and I can't get out of the way.

Well all I can say is I am sorry to hear that.  I would rather shoot 170 consistanly than ave 200 doing what I am doing now, then there would be a way to improve.

I've been in a weird funk.  Think it's timing and concentration. I shot 646 yesterday.  245,206,195  No clean games!!!  That's what drives me nutz.

Just be thankful you guys pull these series out of the crapper.
140+150+150 < 140+140+210. All that said, in tournaments, my average score: 195,210,205,155,180 (notice that beautiful 155 game). The one time though, i was even, going into the last qualifying game, and shot a 279: front six, SOLID 7 (i'm lefty) and rear 5, i was pissed as all hell.
