Why DO people get a ball drilled?
« on: October 11, 2004, 05:21:52 AM »
Why put holes in a ball period?  Seems to me a ball would be more versatile without permanent finger holes.  By palming the ball, you could fine-tune the reaction based on where you were holding it.  Think about it, you could put the pin, cg, mb, and anything else in whatever position you wanted for any shot.  Talk about flexibility!  Forget carrying 4 balls with different drills, just hold the one ball you have differently in your setup!  A pair of nice, sticky-palmed gloves could be developed to help you hold onto the ball better while increasing your rev-rate as well!  This could revolutionize bowling as we know it!

I wish I cold throw the ball like that. At least this way my driller won't kill my pockets everytime I get a piece drilled.

for fingerless balls, they would have to outlaw beer during play so people don't get hurt...

also, whiners wouldn't be going on about lefties; instead it would be people with large hands.

Yes, I urinate on my ball...it doesn't give me better reaction or make my hands tougher.  It just makes me feel better.

HEY!!!!  I palm all the balls I get right handed first before I drill!!

Rotating the ball to different pin positions to see reaction then I decide.

REgards,

PS why not lefty!?  Not coordinated enough lefty to palm a ball!
