Unfortunately, there is so much talk about the newest and greatest bowling ball that new bowlers overhear and not so much about the best shoes to use. Most newer bowlers will spend the greater portion of their bowling budget on the bowling ball and as an afterthought, pick up the cheapest pair of bowling shoes that they like the look of.
In reality, they should spend more on the shoes and buy the budget bowling ball. They would be better served with a good pair of bowling shoes that allow them to develop a more consistent slide and release (if you are sticking or your foot keeps going out from under you, it is difficult to get a consistent release) and then buy a better bowling ball when they have more money available later.
