Why do you come here?

I know, to talk bowling.  But specifically, are you here to have a good time with other people who share the interest of bowling, or are you here only for the facts - no silliness whatsoever?

Myself, I am here to have a good time with others interested in bowling.  Not always should silliness rule, but I enjoy the Non-bowling related board and the hijinx that take place over there.  The other forums are great as well, and I think that's what I like the most is the mix.  I can be serious and share information as needed, but still have the freedom to cut loose from time to time.  How do you prefer to use the site, and are you pleased overall with the people who share the site?

I come here because I like the learning experience and being able to relate with people. I like having a good time on the board minus the silliness, except for the occasional visit to the non-bowling related board. Other than that, I appreciate the views and topics brought up and have learned a great deal from those with more knowledge than myself. That in turn has made me one of the most knowledgeable about the sport and technology of the sport in my area. Funny think is, there arent any old men who wanna take advice from a 26 yr old!! Thats ok, watch and learn!!

not to mention the good deals on equipment that can on occasion be had, this community is a lot of fun. Also, it's a good place to just exchange ideas sometimes. I do have trouble getting anything done at work lately though

I come here to learn and to laugh.  I knew next to nothing technical before frequenting this site.  Now I know just enough to be dangerous.

I totally enjoy the "silliness" as long as it's done as amusement in the proper place.  Randomly insulting people and invading posts just to be noticed is annoying.  The "ignore" button has been looking tempting lately.  While the Miscellaneous Non Bowling Related section is OK, I prefer the original Trash Talking section.  Ground rules were established, and they were more or less followed.  It gave people a place to have fun and vent.  It also kept some of the stupid stuff out the main forums.  After the Anything Goes forum came and went and Scott cracked down on the "fun", we lost a lot of good people.  While a lot their posts weren't serious, many of them were.  This site used to feel like an extended "family".  It's still really good, but some of the personality has been drained.

Entertainment first, bowling knowledge second, and general bowling talk third.

For me, it's knowledge/information.  I try to learn as much as possible, and get different perspectives from people with much more experience/knowledge than me.

At the same time, I like to help out as much as possible too.

On the other side of it, it's fun. I know personally, only a few site members, but a lot of you feel like friends in a community,...which is exactly what it is.

It's also a very nice diversion from the every day grind.......

I spend a LOT of time here .. maybe NOT commenting  .. but ALWAYS READING! I come because I enjoy the POSTERS .. there are some here that KNOW A LOT about BOWLING BALLS and DRILLINGS. I can't judge HOW GOOD THE INFO IS .. cause I know NOTHING .. however IT CERTAINLY LOOKS LIKE they ARE TRYING TO HELP .. and I LIKE that ATMOSPHERE!

I like to listen to the likes of Sawbones who has posted some of the best topics Ive ever read.
To listen to the likes of charlest,leftside,mumzie,magic carpet and the like who I regard as some of the most knowledgable on the site. Please forgive me for not mentioning more as Im trying to be brief.
To Rags and pchee2 for their outlook on all things bowling.
But mostly to learn the right way to play this game.
My thanks to you all.

Also at the moment to see how many people Superman offends, well hes definatly making an effort to include most people.

This is a very cool site to escape to when I'm not bowling
(aka doing regular outside stuff).Also when I get bored
I go here to post or buy.

I'm impressed with the intense thinkers on BR!!Gowleeeee!!They know a lot
of stuff!!!

If you're fast enough ya might catch a GRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAATTT deals in the Wanted/Buy/Sell section!!This part I like too!!

Lastly,the humor used here is COOL,this is the best part,typing your
own opinion or whatever's on your mind.This is where YOU(aka you) can
be real creative,especially in the Non-Bowling Section here at BR!!

Lately there is a new Ballreviews soap opera involving the adventures of Superman and his some other person named odddood(aka he changed his name).

I'll be checking from time to time to see HOW these two post end up.
I guess as long as they end up resolved,its cool!
