Why do you think this is?
« on: November 03, 2006, 05:28:47 AM »
Why do you think I have a much better ball reaction when I have a ball that has a pin 3-3.5 inches and a top weight between 3 and 4 oz.? Every ball I've owned with such specs have been great and all others have been just ok.

The 3-3.5 inch pin makes it go longer and top weight between 3 and 4 oz (which is illegal by the way) makes it have more turn on the back when it grabs. So your better with stuff that goes long and snaps, or flips.

I can't give you an accurate answer with out telling me how the other balsl were drilled, what lane conditions you bowled on ect...

I'm not trying to be a smart A, but this type of question can't be answered unless there's a lot of info giving.

pate,

Thanks for the answer but your way off base with something you said and it's my fault. Those specs I gave are beginning numbers before the ball is drilled. I know a ball can't have that much weight after it's drilled.

chitown,

I drill most of my balls label leveraged, anything else is drilled for length on drier conditions. I've found that label is best for me because of my slower ball speed. I stick to symmetric cores. I bowl mainly on medium to medium oily conditions.

You may start out with 3-4oz of top weight but that can be lessened with proper drilling.
