Why doesnt anyone ever throw tornado's for spares/dry lanes? Like, I dont know it would just make sense for burnt lanes and there so cheap.

Actually, I only own two, and one has no holes (yet).  My current baby is the black/caramel/silver, and there's this big silver stripe on the bottom side of the ball that makes me think of the Helix.

The undrilled one is an oldie I got off Ebay.  It's pink (YAY!) and is old enough that it doesn't have that new WD logo on the side of the ball.

It's getting drilled when I head to Rochester, NY in a few weeks for Lilac City.  Can't wait!

My tornado moves too much to be used as a reliable spare ball (too many revs and too little speed).  To me, a spare ball stays where you put it with maybe a 1-board wrinkle at the back end.  For this, there is no substitute for hard rubber.

Milder, older reactives.  I'm currently having good success with a Black Thunder Storm.  I also recently nabbed an undrilled Ebonite Crush/R off Ebay.  I don't have much success with high end equipment with the techie weight blocks because I haven't got much speed.  

I have a ton of bowling balls and there's going to be a fire sale this summer, because I need to get rid of a lot of stuff I just don't use anymore.

I'm darn deadly at spares though.  I wonder why??

haha, dont worry, I JUST moved to 15# about a week and a half ago, all this muscle just launches the 14#'ers too fast!

I'm 4'10" and about 110 lbs., so 15 lb. equipment just tires me out.  I never noticed a dramatic change in hitting power, so 14 lbs. it is.

I'm scared to redrill my 15# DP, it'll hook way more than i'm used to!!  4" pin, extremely low RG, high Diff, this is definitely my oil ball.
