Why not do this????????
« on: April 28, 2005, 04:07:18 AM »
Okay they have leagues that lay out the sport shot!... WHy not have a few leagues that have the new usbc rule suggestions??? That way, those who want to complete with balls with no weight holes and what not can compete against others fairly.. I see nothing wrong with that idea, but to ball it all together... Honestly, I'll leave sanctioning on principle, and I don't even throw balls with weight holes (most of the time, I have a few)... Ah well, can't make everyone happy all the time, but I think bones hit it right on the head. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few!

It is an interesting idea (the original post), and would provide better feedback and empirical evidence for the USBC than sending our opinions.  I'd like to see two such leagues with identical bowlers in the same center with one league on a wide-open house shot and another on a sport-compliant shot or maybe a shot that is even 3-to-1 or 4-to-1, both leagues with the proposed ball regulations (sans USBC logo) enforced.
