Why Should Banger and Insite have Their Own Forum?
« on: January 30, 2007, 01:58:42 PM »
How long was it that Legends and Lanemasters had their own forum?  Over a year for sure......yes/no?  Let's see if they can make it for the long haul....that's my opinion.  BTW.....both companies are using Visionary for pouring their equipment.

Why not support a company like Visionary that has been thru the good and bad?

I'm sure this won't be well received but it's my opinion.  Like it or not it's mine.

BTW.......rolled 674 w/ an Ogre tonight.

Why do you feel that they should not?
Seems to be an equally good question.

Good Question. If they're "making" bowling balls, its equally right to have a forum. On one hand, you have companies such as Columbia/Track/AMF/Yo Momma and Ebonite/Hammer that ought to be merged, but at the same time, theyre all separate entities.

Theyre more than just the spin off  or plastic specialists like Lanehawk and what about Circle?

Its a blurry line.

Because they have no track record.  But on the other hand Elite had their own board within months....still don't understand that....must have been a weak moment.

Other seemed to have worked for years on this website now all manufacturers have to have their own forum.  If it were not for Ballreviews-Tech they still wouldn't have much.

Like John Houseman used to say in those Smith Barney commercials in the 80's "they earn it".  Insite and Banger have been around not long enough in my mind to earn anything.  Use Other and be happy.  It's been the way of BR for years.

Perhaps you can direct me to their forum as I can't seem to find it, however, I did find their Ball-Manufacture review section.

It's called Other Big Jake.

Visionary, Elite, the new Hammer, Lanemasters/Legends plus others ALL posted here for many many months.......years even before BR gave them their own forum.  I say lets see if they hang around til 2008.  JMO.  Not well received I am sure but the stone has been cast.......what's the problem with waiting?

I'm sure they will get their own forum when they have released more than 2 or 3 balls.

At least with Elite, they had several balls released before they got a forum.

Really what is point of having a forum to discuss the 2 or 3 balls that each company has?

I doubt that Banger will ever have as much traffic as Legends/Lanemasters does but they do have more than Elite does.

They don't have to earn it. It is not a PRIVILEGE to have a forum. This is a bowling website, they make bowling balls. They can have their own forum, besides it's not your whining is going to make anybody take it away from them.

Because there are not enough posts and users to support it.

I remember a few years back when we MoRich was in OTHERS foum. We just posted there until we had a lot of users and a lot of posts indicating the need for such a forum. The same was true of Legends/Lanemasters.

Banger has one ball, for heaven's sake and hardly any posters except for the owner and a couple of staff members. Elite gets very few also, but has more bowling balls available. I'd say when the webmaster sees enough volume of users and a high enough quantity of legitimate posts to justify the efforts required, then he'll set them up.

Personal, I thinkthe webmaster or however makes this decision, shouldn;t even consider making a new forum until the ball producer is actually producing a full line of bowling balls, at least enough to make up a true arsenal. Then he should see if there's enough users posting to justify it.

Just for everyone's information InSite has been in business for three years now and has released four balls to date.  We have two more balls in development currently...

Is't a forum for OUR benefit? For those of US who have an interest in a ball or use a ball to go to one particular section. Instead of having questions about their balls posted all willy-nilly all over the place, they are in one place. And when someone asks, we can send them to one place to maybe get answers.
