Here in Texas the bowling centers all put out light shots. are they saving oiling cost at the expense of wear on the lanes.

I would probably say no. you would be surprised how little oil it takes to makeup heavy oil. How ever to replace overlay would be a much hire cost.

I live 90 miles east of Dallas. House league shot. When I went to Michigan on vacation and bowled on a left over league shot you could see the heavy head oil. ball worked much better because it had enough oil for the skid phase of skid hook and roll

where I bowl there is more oil in the track then in the center of the lane,figure that one out.

Learn to project the ball down the lane....it's called adjusting.

lol. I love "I made the move and it STILL hooked!!!" guy (when you've intentionally) watched where he stood on every shot of the game and he didn't move at all..........

Is it ALL the centers you bowl in there, or just the one you call your "home" center?

i bowl in 3 centers each week from 12 to 40 miles from my house. 4 me none of these put enough head oil out .

Note: Lived in Vegas for 27 years bowled in all the centers some wet some dry so I do know the difference.

I lived in the midwest for a couple of years and found every house to be just bone dry. When I went out east for tournaments it felt like a flood and back home here in the Northwest most of the houses seem medium. Different areas just play different, its what the locals are accustomed to and maybe it wouldn't hurt to se some less aggressive bowling balls to combat the lane conditions you see in Texas? Check out DV8, their stuff gets WAY down the lane
