Rg Min/Max?

Why do manufacturers like brunswick post a Rg Min and Max for their cores, but others like Storm only posts one number for Rg.
For example the original Inferno core @16lbs' Rg Numbers are:
Max: 2.513"
Min: 2.463"
diff: 0.050"
and the storm EMC core @16 Rg numbers are:
Rg: 2.46"
diff: 0.052"

Now with the storm core is 2.46" really the Max or Min value? Or is it a medium between the two, say 2.486" (assuming 2.46" is the min value).

Inferno- great question... We publish the Low RG or X axis value. If you take the low RG # and add the total differential you will find the high RG #. So on the EMC- Low RG is 2.460, add the .052 differential and you'll find the high RG value to be 2.512  

We like to keep our customers sharp on their math. Just in case the automatic scoring devices go down and they have to do it by hand

thanks this is exactly the kind of response i was hoping for.
I expected it was the Min Rg Axis cause 2.46" max (2.408" min) would be ridiculous.

Another question while we're at it Brunswick also posts an Rg int. # for asymmetric balls would this be the Rg on the Z axis?

That would be correct. For the Storm balls if you take intermediate differential number and subtract it from the High RG # you'll find the Z axis value.

great so how could I use the Rg-int. # when picking out a ball or a drill layout?

This is a great question... We at Storm like people to use their math skills J/K

If you take the Low RG and add the differential you'll find the High RG. Example- EMC core 16lbs... 2.46 (min RG or low RG, and just so you know we always post the X axis or low RG#) and add the differential (.052) = 2.512 which is the max RG or High RG.
