Anyone else notice that four of the seven PBA regions now have sponsorship from Wild Turkey?
My presumption is that it is regional as opposed to national due to advertising constraints, but I haven't seen the press release. Curious as to why only four and not all seven.
Thoughts, comments? Besides the obvious that if it was going to be bourbon, it should have been Booker's
-
Bah,
Old Fitzgerald for me.
I guess any sponsorship is better than none.
-
Jack Daniels here.
-
Well, I guess that since the PBA has Miller Brewing Company sponsoring them, the PWBA went one step further! Given the tough financial situation that Professional bowling is in these days, whatever it takes to keep the sponsorship money coming in is what it takes.
I can hear it now on the PWBA telecasts.....whenever one of the ladies gets a three bagger, you hear a turkey call going off on the telecast!
-
Hey 10, we're talking about the PBA, not the PWBA.
I'm hoping that Wild Turkey's sponsorship will be directed toward improving the prize funds on the regional tour, which are currently even more pathetic than that of the PWBA.
-
surprisingly the pba midwest region isn't sponsored by wild turkey----it would be a natural since pdw lives and competes in the midwest region. maybe his libation of choice is another brand............
-
Seadrive, I now see the error of my ways. I was asleep at the computer, woke up and read the post incorrectly, and jumped in without having the facts straight. Oh well, I'll go back to sleep now. ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Give it a rest, would you please, Greg? Your outright hatred of the guy is beginning to reflect badly on you.
-
Thank you seadrive for echoing the sentiments of many...you beat me to the posted thought.
-
From what i've read the Midwest region should be sponsered by Hooters, or whoever runs the Boats!

seadrive, i didn't know you cared so much about something reflecting badly upon me.
michele, is it just entirely possible that I'M echoing the sentiments of many as well ? i think many people feel the same way but won't admit it publicly.
-
Hey Greg, let me put it to you this way.
Remember Brandon and the vibrating Donkee spinner? That's you and Pete Weber. Talk about beating a dead horse...
And that's all I got to say about that!
-
seadrive, i don't remember brandon and the vibrating donkee spinner---that sounds a little perverted to be on a public forum. beating a dead horse sounds a little like beastiality----also not really intended for a public forum like this one. sometimes the truth about a person who is in the public spotlight offends some people....oh well.
-
Greg, Pete's previous problems are well-noted- emphasis on previous. What many question is why you feel the compelling need to continuously bring up dead history.
-
obviously it's not "dead" history----pdw himself has said he still struggles "with the problem". if he really cared about the negative impact he's creating for the pba and bowling he'd quit. perhaps if took up horseshoes like walter ray williams, jr., he'd have less time to devote to "his problem".
-
uncle meat, i'll let it go....only because i'm right and there are way too many people who agree with me who won't say so.
