with prices going up.....
« on: February 26, 2016, 12:33:14 PM »
many will continue to buy NIB's from balls to shoes.

many will just wait for prices to go down and buy old NIB's...or buy used.

I just hope spare balls (dots, max, ice, ect....) and entry level balls don't increase to the century mark. But I'm sure it will....

I just need a new 4 ball roller, but at $219, that bag better last 10 years. :D

Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

Idk I got no problem waiting for closeouts. The new balls lately have been really if-fy.

I'm glad I got a critical, that thing is awesome.  Seems like the haywire is a home run, (duh)..

I'd rather wait and see..

Dozer, I've been buying old NIB's... I'm still stuck at prices from 17 years ago or so where High end balls were less than $115-$125 (online) ... I just can't see myself buying a $170 ball online when most everything is just hype. I could afford it working in the medical field, but.......

it's kinda this.... I worked many years in the food industry before making the career change. I know a lot about food cost for example. Here's one example.... RICE. cost me less the 5 cents per cup, but I sell a cup for $1.00... now it's $2.00 to $3.00 a cup...A bottle of wine cost me $6 or $8 but I sell a bottle at $18 to $24 dollars at the function. Cork fee is where the money is....

I'm sure ball technology has improved.....but to me, it's all hype.

Once we hit the NRG or Nano...nothing better was needed...now they're selling weaker is better...Its all hype.

I no longer buy into the hype.  Been there done that.  The last example for me was the Crux.  Victor M. from Storm touted the so called advanced technology of the scoop core which was actually a Mo Pinel creation.  The Crux was a big disappointment for me to say the least.
Who has so much money that they can spend up to $255 out the door ($165 ball, $50 drill, $25 grips/thumb sleeve, 6% tax) for a ball that is mediocre at best.
Like Mr. Dozer, I now wait for closeouts.  No hurry, as I have enough excellent balls (not the Crux) to hold me over. I won't by myself be putting Storm out of business, but I also will not be contributing to there profitability.

Can't remember the last time I paid full price for a ball with the exception of the Pathogen and even at that it was only $89. Actually just recently got a Paradox, Swerve and Bad Intentions Hybrid all which are X-out's only because they were mid weights. And all were pretty much half off regular price.

4 ball rollers?  Its all about the slim triples nowadays!  Much better value and you won't kill yourself trying to lift the balls into your vehicle.  The increase in price (the exchange rate is a killer in Canada) has also led to more mid range balls being sold

KR makes the best 4 ball IMO
now that they are partnered with EBI, they still have lots of product left to sell
should be some deals out there
mine is indestructible over the past 4 years I have had it
its similar to this  http://www.krstrikeforce.com/en/lr4/
carry only 2 balls at a time, x 2 stack-able bags
I also have a 2 ball hammer bag with a clear top if I need 6 balls for a tournament

I agree but I still saw some unconquerable oil, that the NRG dominated on.  But the longevity of the R2X and the short life span of NRG is why you're right Charlest!

It's almost like the ones they don't hype are better lol..

I will take a mid priced ball any day over a brand new high performance ball. Once the mid priced ball drops in price, I am all over it. As a matter of fact, I am ordering a vandal from budddies for 100 today. Can't beat that!
