Soles for Dynaroo's
« on: October 29, 2006, 11:30:34 AM »
I am having tremendous problems with synthetic approaches. I have dynaroos shoes. The issue is I weight 250+ and all synthetic approaches are very tacky (as I like to slide).  Does anyone know of a 3rd party that sells additional soles and heels for Dynaroo's?

Thanks

MGCPRO,  I have tried those and they are very slippery. Except when I brake and then it a sudden stop.

PBAFIRE, I have recently bought a heel that has interchangable stips... but How does the numbering system work? The lower the number the more slide?? Or visa versa? As far as sole combinations, I have tried every one that came with the shoe except as mentioned above with the interchangable heel strips. Still the slide sole is not slippery enough while the heel is somewhat better using the strips.

I am considering purchasing SST6's as I believe they have many more options. But those were very wide and I did not like them. I wish Linds would make interchangable heels and soles (without those stupid little interchangable disks).

Thanks

What version of the Dyno roos do you have?  Had the same problem you have and i bought the felt sole and it worked awesome for me.

I weigh to much, around 265 and the only time I have ever had to use a different sole other than the #4 was on synthetics after a rain and the lane man said they have trouble with humidity and the approaches.

I used the #3 and got thru the night. I wear a 10.5 wide Ultra Tour and they are the best shoes I have ever worn. You might try the #3 and try different heels you get with the shoes and see how that works for you.

The felt sole with Dynorooz(it's a no 10 from Dexter and you can buy and trim for your dynorooz if Proshop in your are has those.

Combined with the orange heel or the adjustable heel as discussed above should get you to slide on even the tackiest of synthetics!  And slide far.
(On my local sticky synthetics(when they are sticky) I use the felt(#10 from Dexter and a Triheel rubber.  When I put on the cloth heel(equivalent to the orange cloth from dynorooz...I slide too far).  Note the adjustable heel from Dynorooz I believe at least one of the heels is even more slippery than the orange heel which is included too!

I actually found my Dynoorooz too slippery due to front sole border and have switched to Dexter...but only because of that sole border!

If you can't slide with felt and a cloth heel...you can't slide!  You'll see!

I have the ultras and use the gray heal with all teflon pucks for synthetics that are tacky.
Tried that sock thingy and did not care for it but see a lot of guys using it so it be worth a try.
If you don't have ultras they make a teflon sole http://www.bowlersdiscountsales.com/store/product248.html you can glue on to any spare sole you have.

well i weigh a good 90lbs less than you, but I can tell you, if you have the cleat sole, use the plastic like black inserts. those things have me sliding from the 2nd set of dots all the way to the foul line, WAY too much slid for me, and it should have no problem getting you at least a few feet.

Lefty,
I noticed that border is only on the US version.
Makes me wonder if it's necessary or just there cause of a certain other companies copyright on fully replaceable soles.

That is my guess....I love the shoes...except for that.
Went to one non English speaking shoe maker to find out about getting it off.
Going to visit a half english speaking one next!

I now have Dexters... but still want to use my good looking Dynorooz..
