Wood lanes...is it possible?
« on: October 08, 2009, 09:00:12 AM »
Do you think we will ever see a house either old or brand new go to new wood lanes? I miss the varity of lanes between wood and synhetic. I also think wood especially a little worn down is much harder. Another question, does any manufactuer make wood lanes if a house decided to have them installed?

In this economy it is a lot cheaper to keep up wood lanes than replace them with synthetics.  Buying them new would cost a bunch.  Synthetics when we looked at fixing our 24 lanes with them was astronomical.

I believe Hoge still makes wood lanes. There maybe others.

I believe because of initial cost, resurfacing, fire/insurance, you will not see very many wood lanes installed.
