What would the next coverstock be made of?
« on: June 28, 2004, 07:00:05 AM »
Okay, we have plastic, urethane, resin and particle.  What do you think the next coverstock will be made of?

Heck, I think they will come out with some kind of oil that'll be very difficult for a ball to absorb.  *laughing* ... I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't consider using Castrol... *laughing* ... something bout viscosity

Any thoughts?

I think since the game is "too easy" for people, we will resort back to wooden bowling balls.

What should be done to regulate all these "inflated" scores?  Seems like everyone is "enamored" with high scores rather than making shots and the ball manufacturers are catering to the masses.  Like motorcycles.  Manufacturers realize speed sells, so what do they do?  Make faster and more powerful bikes.  Standards and rules need to be enforced.  Use to be of the mindset of bowling with what the "lanes" give you.  Now you can damn near own a ball for "every" lane condition therefore conquering the condition with next to no effort.

What do you think?
