Power House Energizer Cleaner or Power House Power Wash?

The energizer cleaner needs to be shaken before use since it will settle over time.  FWIW, it also is a product that was phased out and replaced with Power Wash around 5 years ago.

Power Wash is the go to cleaner locally and I've used it personally and have never heard of anyone else having an issue similar to what you're seeing.

What else have you been using to clean your equipment?

Zanatos, Power House Bowling has an excellent website which you should check. The company offers a wide range of products. I personally like "Clean n Dull" which is a pretty effective cleaner for most balls but especially for balls with more porous coverstocks where you want something deeper. You should find a Power House product for most balls in your arsenal.

I think they're just trying to help a guy who may have taken a step sideways unintentionally.

I'd suggest that Clean and Dull is the king of the cleaners, but it is so strong, unless you are using a dull oil sucker on a lot of oil every day, you should only use it every 3 or 4 outings. It almost seems to pull oil from the just below the surface. It is also so strong that I almost always use gloves when I apply it.

Adrenaline wipes are another great Powerhouse ball conditioner. However, it is NOT a cleaner. Use it when your ball is starting to lose hook and hitting power. It's intent is to restore a small degree of oil absorbing ability until you can do a thorough oil extraction.

There are few really useless ball cleaners (the only one I found was Ultimate's Ultra Clean, which is so mild  I use it to clean fingerprints off light switches and other dirt on walls.); most just vary in their ability to remove dirt and oil. Isopropyl alcohol is the only cleaner people use that seems a waste of time to me. It removes some dirt but no oil and no much of anything else. Best use is to clean inserts.

If it's leaving a film, you're doing something wrong . . Is it a bottle that you purchased?  Is your pro shop operator doing it?

Black Magic Rejuvenator for me also if that is what you are refering to plus Remedy RX. Both do a great job with the Rejuvenator being just a wee bit stronger on removing oil, anyhow that is how it has worked for me.... and yeah, the Clean & Dull is the best. I use it every approximately  9 games on dull balls such as the Gamebreaker and every 20 - 25 or so games on polished balls like the Versa-Max, Nexxxus and Meanstreak, depending how much oil I bowled in with them.

I didn't care for the Powerhouse Power Wash either.  It was ok but just didn't seem to clean as well as some of the other cleaners I've used.  Never ran into the white film problem though.

However, I really like Valentino's Remedy RX and Resurrection.  They make a great product line.

Re:  White film - When you clean a ball the material removed is dissolved in the cleaner.  Any left on the ball to dry will result in the material removed being redeposited on the ball.  After cleaning I always wipe the ball with either water or rubbing alcohol to get the film off the ball's surface.  --  JohnP
