weight hole= earlier roll?
« on: March 20, 2009, 03:39:00 PM »
i'm familiar with morich's weight hole gradient line balance hole system but i have another question. one pro shop owner told me that a ball with a weight hole will always roll earlier than the same ball without a weight hole all things being equal. i then had another tell me the complete opposite. is either guy right or is the most important factor whether the weight hole in a flare increasing or flare reducing position?

A weight hole will not always make a ball roll earlier.  In addition to whatever weight is removed, by moving the placement of the hole, you can make the core taller or shorter, raising (more length) or lowering (less length) the RG.
