Right now I have my ball in a nice hot bath, lol. I heard from a bunch of people that giving a ball a nice hot bath will draw soaked up oil out of it. I dont know how much it will help, but I thought I would give it a try. If this works, would it be bad to give my ball a bath like maybe once every 1 or 2 weeks? I dont want to hurt it, just thought this might give it that little extra help it needs in the back end.

I've heard of this in an oven, but not a water bath. Be careful! Not only will oil come out, but if left too long the resin will begin to bleed out of the ball as well!

Don't make the same mistake that I did. Make sure that the holes are all up. Live and learn I guess.

Yea, I learned that to
I had to pull my finger grips out and re-glue them

The oven method is what brings out the resin. I have personally never heard of hot water bringing the resin out of the ball. There is no need to do it every couple of weeks. Every 40-50 games should be plenty, depending on how oily the lanes you bowl on are.

Using water is actually recommended by some of the manufacturers.
Some of the posters here do this with a few drops of Dawn detergent in the water as well.

I took it out at about 5, would it be ok to bowl with it at like 8? I dried all the holes out, and have to re-glue an insert, so I dried it completely. And if I find more wet spots, would it be ok to use maybe like a hair dryer on them?
