PBA shots
« on: August 01, 2008, 01:14:44 PM »
What are your best patterns? Ive been doing better on the longer patterns. Not great on any of them, but Im doing better on the longer patterns. Best scores have been on the shark, Us open, and TOC. Cheetah and viper straight wooped my butt. Highest game so far has been 193 last night on the shark. My cousin just missed a 900 for 4 games on it.

I score best on Shark and Viper as far as the animal patterns go, and I haven't bowled on any of the other championship patterns.  As far as I can tell, the Chameleon is really the only pattern of the five that I don't want to see.  I have one more chance at it on Tuesday to see if I can't at least get comfortable on it.

Viper. All my best games and series have been on that pattern. Unfortunately, our league has not done the Chameleon or Cheetah yet and we have only 3 weeks to go.

We have bowled on all 5 patterns now (2 weeks on each).
My highest series was on Viper. However, averaged over two weeks, I did better on both Chameleon and Shark. I struggled on Cheetah this year, but traditionally, I have done well on it. I still like that pattern, but it was our first two weeks, and I was still in "THS-mode"
The most difficult is still to come: US open, and TOC!

i prefer the cheetah pattern as it favors my down and in straight style. despite this i've also scored very well on the shark and scorpion patterns playing in.

I would have to say the chameleon, shark and scorpian. I have read a lot of posts about people saying they are having a problem hooking the ball on the chameleon, well for me I was having a slight issue with it over hooking some what. But the shark pattern for me was money, I was using a storm passion and usually started out with my feet on 27 or 28 and getting it to the 9 board and it would role up and crush the pocket. Then as it broke down I would move into like 30-31 and out to 8 or 9.

I bowl very well on the chameleon, it's the only animal pattern we currently have set in our machine so i've come to be good friends with it.

I average the highest on Cheetah, but have the most tournament success on Scorpion and Shark.
