One's a pearl (RD) one's a solid (Goliath), one's an asym (RD, one's a symmetrical (Goliath).  So you're basically looking at either a solid symmetrical ball or a pearl asymmetrical ball.  Also look at the tendency of the companies...Brunswicks tend to roll earlier, Hammer usually is a little stronger in the midlane.  I believe that with similar drills, the Goliath would be strong in the front and mid parts of the lane whereas the the Real Deal would be strong in the mid and backend of the lane (though don't get me wrong, the Real Deal doesn't ignore the first 20 ft., not at all, it just doesn't read it as strong as the Goliath).

I've seen a lot of people throw the Real Deal and had a great deal of success with it (the shop I drill out of, one of the owners is a Hammer staffer and he LOVES both of his Real Deals), it seems like it would be a little more versatile than the Goliath, which is more of a hook-at-your-toes ball.  So if you're looking for strong versatility, then yes, it's worth the money, if you're looking for flat out EARLY hook, than the Goliath would be the proper purchase.

Correct, Brunswick expanded their Hook Rating scale to accomodate the amount of hook that the Goliath provides.
