Well, I shot a 300 last night... in an unsanctioned league.

Yes, I can still be happy I shot my third 300 in league, but I won't get the official recognition for it or anything, so I'm kinda disappointed. However, this does mean that I have shot 300 or 299 with all of my main equipment, so that's pretty neat.
I sanded my Total NV down to 1000 grit to use Thursday night in my PBA Experience league, but went ahead and used it last night in my unsanctioned fun league. Since the shot's been more wet/dry the past couple weeks, I figured more surface could help even that out. After a whopping 198 the first game, I finally realized my grip was just too loose since I'm not bowling as much as I did in the winter, meaning my thumb isn't swollen as much. A couple pieces of black tape (and a small sliver of a business card stuck behind the insert on my ring finger to tighten that up as well) certainly did wonders. So what did I learn? Don't be afraid to use tape!!!
Oh, and to cap it off I got drawn for my first bowl-a-strike in about three years during that game, so my third frame strike got me $83 as well.

(And for the record, my ball reaction got kinda crappy the third game, and I had a few brutal ringing 10 pins for a 207)
