One post leads to another...
« on: May 03, 2004, 11:32:47 AM »
After reading a few responses on my other thread, I decided to start this one.

What balls do you think have "saved" certain companies in the last 4 years or so?
Here is how I see it:
AMF: Around here the Nighthawk Menace got people interested again, but they have since fallen off dramatically again.

Brunswick: Inferno....hands down!

C300: If there is any saving them I guess it would have had to have been the Rock line. A few people were throwing the Reaction Roll and Arc also.

Ebonite: There are a couple here....the original Apex and the Apex Adrenaline.

Hammer: Still kind of dead, but if I had to pick one I would say the Blade series.

MoRich: brought to life by the Onslaught.

Roto Grip: Assault was the birth of this company in my area.

Storm: A few here as well. El Nino and Trauma. Before then there were a few, but those 2 really got Storm going.

Track: On and off they have had some stuff around here...mostly off. The Freak and FreakOut brought this company back into the hands of some bowlers in the area.

Those are the companies primarily used around here. Make your list, see if it matches mine at all.

Brunswick--saved themselves by slowing production down, if I had to pick a ball it would be the Raging Red Fuze

Storm--I agree the Trauma, maybe the Xfactor

Ebonite--V2

Morich-Labrinyth

Hammer--see a ton of sling blades here (used to)

Columbia--I personally haven't seen anything I would even consider from C300 since the Cuda 2000.  The same goes for Track, I had the KO Punch.  I didn't like it and haven't tried anything from them again.

You don't see much RG or Dynothane in this area.

andrew,

If you have not tried anything from Track since the KO Punch, you are really missing out!!! Best stuff on the market!

Ex, someone would have to give it to me.  I wouldn't purchase anything that gives C300 even part of the profit.  Very bad experience.
