Too much?
« on: February 06, 2004, 09:24:40 PM »
Am I cleaning too much? Every time I get home from bowling I do this: get oil off with strong solvent(stuff witch someone on a different site recommended. Who is a chemist so I know it is ok)then Storm reacta clean then Track magic shine polish. I do this every time I use them and don't know if I am damaging the balls by polishing them too much and filling pours and so on. If anyone has good advice on a good ball cleaning regime and good cleaning/polishing products.I have also made a ball spinner(witch vibrates like hell)so anything that works with that would be good too.

Many thanks ,Alex

i personally think that ball hygiene if very important!!

i believe that as long as your getting the reaction you want, you can't fill in the pores too much.  the cleaners are made (supposedly) so that won't damage a bowling ball, so i'd think you'd have a hard time hurting them.

I don't polish all the time, but I celan my bowling balls after every use. Claners arent going to hurt the balls, I don't know about over polishing.
