Title: Wrap on thumb tape

Am confused as to what the tape was really designed for: smooth release or fitting a loose hole.  What do you use it for? How applied?

smooth release is my believe. it really makes me come out quick no matter how tight i make it

Some are for changing releases others are just to protect the thumb.
