Home Spinner - You should definitely get one

I''ve gotta tell you.  If you have been considering getting a spinner for use at home, JUST DO IT!  You won''t be sorry.  One of the best bowling investments I''ve made, and well worth the cost.  Perfect for league and/or tournament bowlers.  I''ve had mine for a few months now (Innovative 1/2 hp personal spinner), and it has done wonders for me.  I have resurrected several old balls that were gathering dust, and now they perform like new and look like new, and I have been able to adjust the various covers so that I am able to cover many different lane conditions, with confidence in how each ball will perform.  Cleaning, sanding, polishing, it''s all a snap now.  As a plus, it''s a h*ll of a lot of fun to just mess around with.  And with the spinner in a rubbermaid tub, no mess and easy to store your supplies along with the spinner. Really, save your money and get one.  Highly recommended!

I purchased my shops old one so i have a 5 year old cabinet spinner with the works. I personally like being able to control my equipment surfaces and not having to carry everything to my pro shop and hope he can get it all done. With that, the only my shop does now is knock three holes in the ball. It really is worth it if you have 4+ balls and actually bowl more than just 1-2 houses. Once you start bowling tournaments it is definitely a good idea to atleast get a basic one.

I agree.. The best investment for a serious bowler is a ball spinner, period..

Also inexpensive for the amount of use and longevity you get from it. Plus it requires very little maintenance.

I have a jayhawk that was purchased used about 11 years ago that still works flawless.

Also great because the most expensive thing to replace is the motor which is a standard washing machine motor that can be found used locally for around $30.

+1 here (built one myself). It is fun and you learn a lot about your equipment, and ball maintenance never was that easy. Good shoes and a spinner, that's better than any new high end ball...

It's true! It is a major help. Mines reviewed from friends as "redneck". Made from an old 2 speed furnace motor, salad bowl, and many other nuts and bolts for some reinforcement. It's probably not safe but it works
