I bring 5 balls in plus spare ball. I bring something in for a flood, 2 mediums and 2 drier lane balls, plus ol' blue for spares. Reason being is because we have a league before us and depending on the carrydown/amount of oil put out, it seems to change every week. They are trying to tweak the shot to get it right, based off of our scratch league, but cant seem to get it as it was before the change (when it was still warm outside). Some weeks the heads are toast by the end of the first game, other weeks it is over/under city and another week it will be a shot where you have a little to work with. I can understand why centers put out more oil to combat the the hook in a box ball of the month, but eventually it gets to a point where people: 1) Dont want to spend $200+ for a new ball every few weeks to be able to score. 2) Want to bowl in a house where their current hook in a box moves 5 boards and dont carry instead of 15-20 and carry everything. They need to figure something out quick.....
