I have seen a crack before but that is over the top. Guess that ball wasnt what it was cracked up to be. LOL!!!! Going to try another Paradox or replace it with something else?
It was probably the grease pencil used for the layout that made it crack. If you would have had it in a temperature controlled environment, in the dark, inside a plastic bag with a nice slow jazz tune playing in the back ground, it probably wouldn't have cracked.

This is exactly how some people sound when they lecture people on why balls crack.
I hate scribe lines. Won't go to a ball driller that does that.
But really dull pencils with broad lines make it easier for the driller
I've had several balls crack all the way around, from finger hole to thumb hole in recent years.My PSO is so good, however, the balls that I wanted to keep......he fixed them!!No problems!
