Title: Yay!! I did it....

I finally shot my first 700 tonight in league. We had heavy oil and I used my anomaly all 3 games. This was not a walled shot. It was oily all the way across.
Game 1> 221
Game 2> 279
Game 3> 227
Total set > 727

Man does this help my mental game. Now I know I can shoot 3 good games in a row. I usually shoot two 210-215 games and then follow with a 180 something. Anyway, just thought I'd share..even though most people don't think much of 700 series..it was a major accomplishment for me! Thanks for listening!

Congrats to you as well! They should be a little easier for us to shoot now that we know we're capable. Happy bowling!!

Congratulations to legend4life95 and Ta 152 for shooting your first 700's. Milestones are very important whether they happen early in one's bowling career or many years down the line. I'm sure another honor score or two will come to both of you again within the bowling year.

I doubt a 800 is in my imediate future. I bowl with a guy that has been into it for 15 yrs. and he has never broke the 800 mark. He has shot about 10 300 games and averages 220-230. I hope to shoot 800 one day but for now I'm more than happy with my 7.

Congrats, I also shot my first 700 (702) just 2 weeks ago.  
Now, if I could only get that nagging 300 game out of the way......

Yeah that 300 for me may never happen. I can't get past the front nine b/c then my hands start sweating and my stomach starts to tense up. Freakin nerves

I'm sure the 800's and 300 are years down the road but at least I reached the first milestone.

Thanks for the encouragement and tips. I seem to do better when I don't even look up at the scores. I just try to stay relaxed and act like I'm just shooting practice games. It just does'nt work when I string 9 whether in practice or leauge..I still get nervous.

Somewhere I once heard "softly, softly catchee monkey."  First you get 9, next comes 10, then 11 and voila!!  It gets easier every time - maybe the increments are small, but it still gets easier.
