OTC are medications I avoid, but take once in awhile. I'm going to try this joint supplement that's suppose to be all natural. I've taken some in the past that my bro-in-law had from his "eastern medicine doc" and it worked great!
If one of them is glucosamine, don't waste your money.
I'm also taking an OTC called SAME for another reason, but it turns out it has also helped some of my joints where arthritis took hold. I didn't know it was doing good in that "department, until I stopped taking it. So I resumed. For an OTC it's on the more expensive side, around 75 cents per pill.
I've also tried some "oriental" herbs, like GuSuiBu (Drynaria fortunei) and Cordyceps, among others, but, for me, they turn out to be more aimed at the body as a whole than specifically for arthritis.
Jeff, it's left over muscles that turn into fat~ lol
I go up and down that road quite frequently myself, but not to your extent.
Those Steel fingers I've seen before. But, I'm hoping it doesn't come to that soon. I'm going to see how things go after I see my doc who does both western and eastern medicine. But if it has to come to that, just so I can bowl, I'll put one one.
While they feel quite funny at first, once on, they feel almost like nothing and you wonder how they can help so much. Thankfully the tendonitis in my hand has receded and not been an issue for many years, but it did require I cut back on practice sessions I used to do. No more 8 and 10 games blocks anymore.But arthritis has started to take hold but is not yet painful in the hands .. yet.
I left bowling because I had to make a choice, My father's orders. So I choose MA and left bowling and returned to bowling when I left MA lol.
We make our choices and then we must live with them. (There must be some old saying that makes that point but I can't think of it right now.
)
Again good luck.
