Zero Gravity = Hyper Cell ?
« on: December 27, 2013, 10:27:02 PM »
I never had a Cell and was wondering if it was equal to the original Virtual Gravity ? With that being thought about. Would the Hyper Cell be equal to the Zero Gravity ? Both originals seem to have been very sucessful. I'm thinking you couldn't go wrong with either. Thanks for any positive input. Carlos

Whatever the numbers, the Zero Gravity rolls like an Invasion.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

I haven't seen an Invasion roll at anybody's feet . . but here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsPdSMGdc8s  Zero Gravity

Same bowler, "different ball," same reaction.

Looks like the drill patterns are different on the 2 videos and I am sure the shot is different as one is open bowling and one is the BowlerDeals House shot that they get setup for them.

Yes, but the way a ball rolls and reacts is predominant, otherwise how can you compare them?  Or why would anyone put any stock into reviews at all?  If somebody bowls on a different shot than me with a different layout, the point of this site would be completely irrelevant.  Why watch videos?  Why look at numbers?  But if a 4 year old ball can be made to look like a brand new ball with a certain layout on a certain shot, then what's really so different?  There's not really any "new" anymore, it's really just different.  They can tweak or change just enough to make it different from what came out before.  You all notice that RGs are getting higher again?  There for a while all the high end stuff was in the 2.48-2.52 range.  Now they're gradually starting to creep up.  Give it another few years and they'll predominantly go back down.  Anything to keep people on the hook to buy new equipment.

Since I've really started paying closer attention, I've noticed in the last couple years, Roto Grip seems to be putting out equipment that hooks later in the lane, where Storm seems to be more mid lane grabbing.

Put it another way, I used to enjoy my Hy-Road.   But I developed past it, and could not use it towards the end.   I now very much enjoy the HP4 line, but Storm hasn't caught my eye on a ball since the Nano's, which I was too late to the party for.

If you ask me, I would say a higher rev, more power player is likely to enjoy the Hyper Cell more than the Zero, and possibly a Lower rev, more feather shot will like the ZG better
