over the years ive tried probably 30 drier lane balls (or so the advertise) but very few have really worked so was thinking whats your personal favorites?

heres my top 4
1. storm flame reactive (yep the gumball)
2. roto grip sonic x
3. hammer razr
4. storm big hit pearl

although after 30 games or so my ONE worked wonders on beat up lanes

Mine would have to be.
1.Blue Hot Flame
2.Orange Flame

By far those were the 2 best dry lane balls for me, i had alot of success with the 1" flare that these balls had. Wish someone released something like this again.

Red Hot Flame also.

Phillip Marlowe liked the Barrage also. 

When I had my PBA Card could buy the Barrage all-day for fifty dollars from Track. It was cheap and versatile, lanes was never too dry for it.

Right when reactives started to flood the market, I had bought a Gyro Pro (pea green) and drilled it leverage. Oil volumes weren't what they are now as this was around 1992-93. Man that ball was awesome when the lanes really hooked.

I bowled a Saturday afternoon travel league at that time. We dealt with conditions of following juniors throwing house balls and plastic down the middle to houses forgetting we were coming and last dressing them the night before for first shift. This Gyro Pro (was an old school 3 piece block) was just awesome. It got down the lane better than the urethane Turbo I used to carry with me.

Some of the newer ones for me were Roto Grip Mars, Brunswick Blazing Inferno & Punisher, Ebonite Shockwave and Stinger, and Storm Jolt and Jolt Pearls all rolled well for me on dryer or shorter patterns.

A dry lane "reactive" ball, there is no such thing.

Well I must correct myself. I did run across one reactive ball in my time that worked very well on dry conditions. Was talking about old equipment the other day, and I remember this little gem I had for dry until it cracked: "C.S.I. Wild Fire"

Reactive resin was/is urethane with some sort of additive.

IMHO, I can't play anything other than my 1980's vintage AMF black angle on pure burnt toast. I liked my jolt pearl alot on dryer lanes before it cracked.
