Your favorite new release mid-priced ball
« on: August 16, 2004, 05:17:48 PM »
If you had the chance to get a new release for free that is mid-priced from ANY company excluding Lane #1 for this thread (nothing against them) what would it be?

Toss up between:

V2 Sweet
Zone Classic
Switch Blade
Nemesis
Freak-a-zoid (if its still considered a mid price ball)
Flash Flood

It would be a toss up between the Detour and V2 Sweet- both look like good match ups for my game.

Detour.

As a matter of fact, I just bought one in a closeout sale.  I wish I had bought it last March when, instead, I bought the Sling Blade.  The Sling Blade is a nice ball, but I find it too condition specific.  I can use the Detour just about all the time except for when there is too much carrydown.

Ego, Flashpoint, or Razor Wire.

Have not thrown Detour yet!

I've only thrown it once, and it's a low price ball, but if you want a ball for a house shot, look at the Brunswick Power Groove.  Plenty of hook and hit for $55.  Get a PG particle + a pearl reactice + a spare ball and you're set for any THS you'll see.

I just got Goliath....INCREDIBLE(see my first impressions in the brunswick section)

I love Brunswick but I think I'd try the Flashfore by storm.  It smells so good!

Classic zone and Sheer Havoc both great performance for great prices, also new vendetta pearl is pretty close to these also in versatility.

If you consider the Razor Wire new, it's got my vote, because it handles all the medium lane conditions best for me.
