Title: Your State Tournament score.
Post by: Ernie McCracken on April 24, 2004, 04:07:06 AM
I just got home from bowling doubles and singles of our state tournament today.  For those you who don't know, I live in Iowa.  I shot 688 in singles and 750 in doubles.  We do team tomorrow.  I'm curious as to what others in here are shooting at their local state tournament.  So, feel free to post your numbers!  I'll post my team score when I'm done.

We thought the shot was tight but playable.  I did notice a few guys who could play just about anywhere and score though!

When we were there all you had to do was send it to the gutter and watch it come back. Not much of a challenge but due to stupid errors I could have scored better.

That's the plan.  We have a really good team so we'll see what happens.  We need 3,567 or better for first place.

I am a youth bowler and bowled my First ever state tournament back in November.

Singles= 205, 204, 148, for a 557
Doubles= 156, 179, 225, for a 560
Team= Coudln't find the slip

I took a 148 average. I placed 13th in singles. I placed first in All Events. And my team placed Second. I bowled 100 pins over my series average everytime. All 3 of my series were within 7 pins and thats all i remember.

By the way, I am not a sandbagger!!!

Goodluck at State you guys!

Didn't have one and won't until they go back to a scratch-only format (they were previously broken down into 4 divisions and now there are divisions plus handicrap, a change made just within the past few years).

Its also the same reason I won't bowl city...

At least nationals is still scratch...

Okay, all my scores are in.  I ended up shooting 658 today in team which brings my all events total to 2091.  I should cash in everything plus I made $96 in brackets!  It was a good year.

All that I can say is I survived!  I bowled Nebraska state team yesterday and doub/sing today.  scores respectively are  403-419-471.  My avg series should have been 507 (169 avg.).  I avg'ed 431 (143.6).  I did not bowl well, but I had a ton of fun.

the kid who shot 2365 in mo was joe nolan, he bowled a team tourney with us today and walked out with $1100 in brackets averaging 240+. this kid is going in the army in two months and I guarantee he'll find out army base bowling alleys are no picnic.

I bowled in Missouri also, and on the same weekend though not the same squad as Joe Nolan.  I shot 1903 and that was not bad as that shot was not a THS.  I know Joe, and even knowing how good he is, those scores were unbelievable.  He would only be leading all events scratch by around 200....if he had only entered it

In PA this year it is a tale of 2 houses...

Singles and doubles -- very playable from most of the lane.  I shoot 663 (singles) 617 (doubles) (on my steller 187 book avg...lol)...that gets me into 4th in handicap singles...lol...made the tournament entry back in brackets so I was happy

Team -- not so playable from the right side...truly a lefty wall, and a righty reverse block...I shot 491 and was 2nd high on the pair and got money back in scratch brackets
