Just a little congrats, for Nicholas Stokely
This young man has worked hard all summer, and stays after Saturday''s league
to practice.The coaches have worked with him all year,and made numerous changes
to his game this year.They have given him newer equipment to match his game.And
changed the weight of the ball.
His mental game is great,for such a young person.Two weeks ago he shot his first 700 series
266,257,180=703,Last week he shot 279,183,211=673,Today,February 6,2010
He shot 266,238,289=793.Nicholas had the front ten in the third game, a strike on the 11th
shot gives him his chance at a 300 and a 800 series.He left a 10 pin on the 11th shot.
I was a little disappointed,but when you consider that he is only 12 years old,what a great
series.He averaged a 150 last season.This season Nicholas is averaging a 188.
There has only been four bowlers, 12 years and younger to shoot a 800 series.This kid
is a great kid,and a good overall athlete,who plays other sports at a high level.
Also we have freshly oiled lanes ,that the kids bowl on.Nicholas was playing third arrow
and a few boards deeper during the series.So he was not just throwing the ball in the track
area.This kid is learning what it takes to become a better bowler.
Great bowling Nick! Let''s hope that this is only the start of bigger and better things.
