Why is everyone crying about having...
« on: February 02, 2004, 05:42:24 AM »
a dead ball, when Ebonite has their "Hook Again" (hope I said that right...) out and it actually works! I mean, am I missing something here? I'm not that knowlegable about this product but all of the pro shops in my area that I've spoke said that the stuff works. So why are people complaining about the older equipment they'd love to keep and saying that it's dead, but have a solution to bring their loved one back to life and don't use it? Man, I hope I don't get flammed for this one!

When you've moved up, moved back, adjusted left and right, cupped, flattened out, have thrown everyting in your arsenal, and the pins still don't cooperate, just say, "Aw to HELL with it!", and throw the ball!

of COURSE they are gonna say it works... they paid for it and have to sell the service.

i used it on my Messenger Ti after 350 some-odd games. it worked somewhat and only for about 20 games. now the ball is what i call officially dead. the coverstock just can't handle the oil-bleeding i give it to try and keep it alive. its seen well over 450 games. i think reactive coverstock loses its friction quality after a while, no matter how much oil you think you take out.

i don't care who makes it, how much it costs, or how sexy the ball looks. does it carry the 7 and level the deck? did i just beat you? aren't i clearing the heads with my $60 ball?

bring on the Lefty uprising!

I find that odd. My Messenger Ti has way way more than 350 games. And that balls kicks a s s. The coverstock has a lot of cuts, yet it still performs like it did the first day i got it. Thats rather odd.
