Just a quick note to let everyone know that our team won back to back championships last night.

Now for some this isn’t a big deal but just two short years ago three of our bowlers weren’t averaging 150 per game. Today one is in the high 190’s and the other two mid 180’s.

This is the “premier” men’s bowling league in the area so to me it was quite an accomplishment.

There were a few nice games thrown from both sides and they made a late charge at the end! Handicap didn’t factor in since both teams were within 5 pins of one another. We won by 70+ pins total.

I wish I could say I was on but it wasn’t my night. I’m glad the team stepped up when I couldn’t find the pocket for most of the night.

Anyway, for a Friday the 13th I’m feeling pretty good.

Very true about repeating.............
This year simply wasn't our year. The entire year went like this.........
 We bowled against a team one night: With handicap we shoot 1030 and lose to  1070. Second game we shoot 1080 and lose to 1100. Third game we shoot 1080 and lose to 1125.We shoot 3190 with handicap AND LOSE FOUR POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about feeling snakebitten the entire year---which we were. It was a year of bowling good and everyone else bowling better.
 About the only thing that went well this year was to watch one of our
guys get his first 700-----733 to be exact----277--214--244.
 Another one of out guys who averages 155 won 50 bucks in the end of the year tourney. He shot 564 scratch and with handicap shot 672 and came in 5th high in that tourney.
