The Onslaught is advertised to give you a good "pop" on the back end and that's just what it does.  I'm getting a great entry angle into the pocket and carrying all kinds of hits ... slapper 10s, kick 4s, RipRacks, messengers.  What has really impressed me is the flush shots ... no solid 8s, 9s or even 4-9s.  It may be just a matter of time, but I don't think you'll see near the number of backrow pins with this ball ... the move to the pocket is aggressive yet controlled.

The factory finished polished Versa-Tech L cover stock lets you easily get through the heads.  You should be able to use this ball as the heads break down, because the pearlized cover easily holds back the mid roll and saves energy for the break point. In fact, the out of box surface length surprised me initially and was skidding through the break point.  I almost went with the recommendation from the Pro Shop to wet sand the surface with 600 grit, but threw a couple more games to see if the reaction would change.  I'm glad we waited, because with each frame the Onslaught began picking up the breakpoint earlier and has settled into a great skid/roll/snap combination.  So, recommend you give it two or three games before you doctor the surface.  I'm sticking with the out of box condition and our house shot has a little more concentration of oil than the average shot with an out of bounds around 4 board and build up at the second arrow.  The Box condition still gets plenty of backend and the angle entry for carry is excellent.

The shop laid out the ball for medium track players with a PAP less than 4 1/2 designed to create a sharp break point and max revs.  My PAP is 3 over and 1/4 down .... wound up with the Pin lined up under the bridge with 3 3/8 distance to PAP and required the standard weight hole.  My speed at the 43 foot mark averages 16 and I get medium revs.

I think the Onslaught provides one of the best moves to the pocket I've seen without giving up any control. Definitely excited about this ball's head clearance, mid-roll, recovery and backend entry angle .... its number one in my line-up.  My other options are the X-Factor, Cure, V-2 Particle, Voodoo and Aulby MVP.

Holy S**t!  I have this ball drilled pin out @ 9:00 with the CG in the center.  I tried this on Sunday night on wood lanes house shot to 30'.  Let me tell you:  I couldn't roll this outside of 15 because when I did, to the gutter it goes.  This ball likes to slide...however, once I found a nice shot, KABOOM!  Ladies and gentlemen, meet your go-to ball when the lanes start to break down.  I swear after this ball skidded, it just ZOOOOMED to the pocket when I rolled it down right (15 to 4-5 board).  7-pins?  I only saw one in 30 frames!  Series?  Well I took this opportunity to use it on my 1st night of league (OK maybe I wanted to pad my average a little bit the 1st week) to test it out and I bowled a 138 (mostly used that game to figure out how to use it), then when I finally did, I bowled a 224 and a 237 for a respectable 599.  I'm going to wood lanes oiled medium/heavy to 42' tonight for a trio league.  I'm lugging along my Hercules and my Voodoo just in case I can't find a nice line with my Onslaught.  I rate this ball a 8 out of 10 (because it's a b**ch to find a comfortable line right up front).

Just got the ball . Pin placement above fingers about half inch and inch right of middle finger (Im a right hander stroker). I usually average 215 to 218. Use the ball in heavy/medium  oil in league for classic singles (approx38 to 40 feet down). Ball slides nice through the heads and once it hits the dry backend, the angel of attack to the pocket is unbeleivable. This ball (in oil) will out hit, out right crush the pins and keep them low to deck. Whats nice about it , it blows the corners out...I have the WOW, the preditor.....The ONSLAUGHT out performs them all by a mile....Ball does need oil through the heads..Spare shooting is easy with this ball also....I kill the ball (strait and hard and have no problems). If you are looking for a BALL for OIL that carries and has a very angular entry to the pocket , THIS IS IT....This ball will open the pocket up AND CARRY...........

Initially the onslaught seemed very conditional, but with a few more games on it now I realize that this ball will work on many conditions.  For me, its strenght lies with a down and in line.  I drilled mine with the pin under the middle finger, with a short 2 inch pin kicked out at a 45 degree angle.  You can really make this ball do just about anything by simply changing ball speed.  As long as you still get through it, throwing it really hard won't make it lose it's back end drive as some other balls tend to do.

As other have mentioned, the hitting power of the onslaught is truly remarkable.  It gets through the heads extremely well, and makes a very aggressive move to the pocket in the backends.  Yes, possibly the biggest back end move I've ever seen.  The change in direction when thrown properly is something to see.  A great medium oil release by MoRich!!!

I have drilled three Onslaughts so far. One for a right-handed bowler with average revs and about 17Mph speed. I set it up in a leverage configuration for this bowler, and it outperforms everything I have ever punched up for him. His carry percentage has probably risen 20%. The guy averages about 175-180 and his first three sets with the Onslaught were better than 650. This ball has a ton of back end power. The second one I drilled was for a left-handed tweener. I stacked it with the pin under the ring finger. He had been having a lot of trouble getting a consistent ball reaction (but he was bowling with a Triton Elite that had never had anything done to it at all) After the first three games with this ball he has been all smiles. The Onslaught is really a great ball for medium to medium/heavy oil. The third one I drilled was for me. I am a right-handed tweener with back problems. I drilled it up because I had to drop to 14LB equipment for physical reasons, and I liked what I had seen. I set the ball up stacked with the pin slightly above the ring finger. Even an old broken down bowler like me is shooting over 600 every set again. Mo has a real winner with the Onslaught. It really carries the corners as well as anything I have ever bowled with. I can see absolutely no drop off in performance with the drop in weight from 15 to 14LBS. This ball will be a great addition to anyone's arsenal

Hmmm, what to say about this ball.
My first reaction was, I hated it.  And, after a few games, I still didn't like it much.  I find with this ball your release has to be perfect for the ball to react well.  I don't have that release, at least on a consistant basis.
If I released the ball with too much side spin, the ball just spins like a top down the lanes, where my other balls would correct themselves and recover nicely (phenom, and phenom unleashed)
When I did throw it perfectly I loved it.  Hit hard, and made a very strong movement to the pocket.
I throw the ball about 16mph, with med low revs.

I would say, if you are a quality bowler with a consistant perfect release, this ball would work well for you.  If your like me, and avg bowler who doesn't always release the ball perfectly, I'd look elsewhere.

The ball is drilled strong, don't know exact specs, but all my balls are drilled to go long with max backend reaction.

Sometimes I really wish I could have made this ball work for me.  Like I said, when thrown perfectly the ball is excellent.

Good luck to those that enjoy this ball.

I got this ball drilled over the weekend 5-1-04. After spending almost an hour with the driller trying to figuure what would work best for me and watching me bowl a bit we basically have drilled it stacked with the cg out just a tad and the mass bias below that. The Pin on these balls are huge. I swear its the size of a nickle. Because of the size most of my ring figure hole was drilled into the pin with just a quarter moon of the pin showing about the ring finger.

Tried the ball in the house where I practice and the same place the Pro Shop is located. The ball just went and went sliding. I soon realized this was a new ball glossy finish out of the box plus apparently there was much carry down which caused the ball not to hook much plus I am RH and  don't put a lot of rev's on the ball,medium speee, mainly rely on the wait of the ball to turn itself at the breakpoint.

Later I took the ball home, cleaned it with simple green and Clean and Dull. a couple of hours later I was at the bowling ally where my leagues play. I went there for a Saturday nite sweepstakes bowling and they usually have fresh oil with dry backends. Not super oily but medium. I threw the ball and HOOK! I threw again and HOOK! I realized quickly the minute it hit the dry it would start turning, so I increased my speed a little to get it closer to the break point and bingo! slam leg-oski! Incredible loud pin action. I proceed to bowl well the rest of the evening until the middle of the second game and my knee/leg started to get weak and found that so distracting I could barely go through my release and it was all wrong at that point, but I must say I was really pleased with the hit and carry of this ball. I have been able to use it again twice since then in practice. Last nite I practiced with it and a new Triple XXX I had just bought. Its hit and carry I thought easily equal to the Triple X though obviously the Triple is a sound ball as well.

I am so glad I discovered the Mo Piniel core. I now have the Onslaught plus a 3D Offset Violet Pearl and a Hammer Truck. All have great carry.

There don't seem to be many reviews of the Onslaught so not sure how many own this ball but I think its as good a ball as any of my 3 Lane 1 balls and not as expensive. Acutally I think the carry is more generous with this ball which is important to me as a relatively new bowler and not the most accurate in my throw.(yet!)

This makes me curious about the other MoRich balls, I understand they will have a new ball out shortly but the Hercules and Pioneer look like good choices as well. I would say the Onslaught is a good all around ball for THS medium to medium light oil. get you some.

Yo, this is my 2nd attempt with a MoRich ball.
Wt=15lb. 4oz
Top wt=  3oz
Pin=     3"
Speed= 15-15.5mph
Revs= Medium
Condition= Synthetics, THS, late in the day w/ dry heads and plenty carrydown.

As you should know, my first dive into the world of MoRich was very scary. Picked up a 15# Hercules, which, even drilled mildly with a label/lev drill...was extremely strong. So...used the same precaution and got this one drilled similarly, label/lev. Pin to the right of ring finger by about an inch and MB in the control position, left of my thumbhole. The guy I chose to practice with, had already eaten up most of the oil on the lanes, since he'd been praticing for about an hour. He ONLY uses MoRich, and has a lot of hand.
Started playing straight up 10, down and in, with a fan release. Ball got thru the heads smooth as butter! Went straight to the hole as if it had a magnet on it! Moved in a little to see if I could swing it....Boy could I...with room to spare! No problem. Little swing...BIG HIT!! Moved in deeper to about 25. Cranked it a little, with a big swing. Big swing....BIGGER HITT!! About this time a partner of mine came over to ask what I was throwing, cause he said it seemed like I couldn't miss the pocket. I couldn't. Pretty awesome ball! Needless to say, I was impressed. Used all my releases, and the ball loved everyone of them. 45 degree, Fan, Cranker, up the back...ball responded like a champ. Shot 223 out of the box, combining inside shots with outside shots. Extremely consistent arc and breakpoint. Very easy to read. this ball is money!When I fan it, it becomes a little more angular but still hit the pocket spectacularly. Messengers were everywhere. One time it hit the pocket so hard, I thought sure that I'd counted thirteen pins being knowcked down!
This one will be a regular in my bag.
Shot 245, without really trying, primarily swinging it. Great ball MoRich! And it's got all the length that I seem to need. Can't wait to try another.
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!

I drilled this one up for myself.  I laid with the pin 4 1/2 from my axis and the 5 3/8 inch  from my PAP.  The pin was above my VAL 2" inches.

With this layout I was trying to get more skid/flip.  I threw this ball on a fresh oil house shot.  The ball was clean through the front part of the lane with a smooth midlane roll and strong arcing reaction to the pocket.

On the fresh oil house shot I was not able to swing the ball a lot because there was too much head oil for the ball to recover from down the lane.  I was able to move outside and play in the dry area of the lane and get the ball down the lane and make a nice move to the pocket.

The Onslaught would be good on Medium to Lighter Oil shots.  With the proper layout this ball should be great in most bowlers hands on these type of shots.

Skid/Flip

Lane Conditions: Medium Oil
Typical Conditions: House Shot
Type of Lane: All Wood
What part of the lane did you play? Third Arrow
Did the ball track out? Normal
Weight of bowling ball: 15
Surface of bowling ball: Polished

Likes: how i can count on this ball to get me back in the game

Dislikes: only when the lanes get too dry and it snaps early

i can count on this ball to get me back in the game. i consider this to be my benchmark ball because it is always first out of my bag to test the lanes during practice. unless i'm going somewhere where i know that'll be either a lot of oil or not enough oil. which incase i just get a stonger or weaker ball. i love using thing ball when i need to get in and open up the lane on a tough shot. normally this ball comes out before my dry lane ball most of the time. best skid/flip ball made today

15lb.4oz  3.0 topweight
3&3/8" pin cg 1&1/2" below hal
mb an 1" 45 right of thumb hole

When I first bought this ball I really wasn't sure what I wanted. I was looking for a reaction kinda like my S&A. I spoke to Wesley (StrikeZone Pro Shop) again and explained what I thought I was wanting this ball to do. He made a few phone calls and, told me that If I wanted something similar that I should go with the Ravage. (I wanted the same pin crushing power but, not as much overall hook) The Lay out would stack the pin, cg and mass bias. Unfortunately Wesley didn't have a 15lb. Ravage so I asked to have the onslaught to drilled the way he recommended. That brings me to where i am now. The onslaught has worked well since I've had it but, I haven't had many chances to throw it. It's okay cause summertime is practice time for the fall league. I'll have to mess with the surface a bit. Don't know wether I'll shine it or sand it fine or course. I'll update once I find something that works. Shot 235 out the box. Another A+ for Morich!!!

I purchased this ball in january of last year.  I had it drilled so that I could play down the lanes yet have enough of a backend to open the lanes up.  It was drilled origanially for med light to medium oil lanes.  BOY WAS THAT A WRONG CHOICE.  Ball loves to motor whereever there is a dry board.  I found that it has a tendency either overreact and sometimes not react at all. Price for having a pearlized ball.  Depend I guess on condition.

Due To my Equptment being stolen I was givin this ball by a friend... Like Morich but not as mush as others....Anyways Drilled 5 3/8 x 3 1/4...this ball is pretty impressive!  It hits very well with a smooth consistant reaction.  Almost Felt like and ebonite ball...Anyways I Do not have a lot of MoRich customers but on a personal level I feel this ball would play well with most styles on a medium/slightly drier pattern or wet/dry conditions. Tends to get a little squirly on the thicker stuff!
