Lev RG Response
« on: December 31, 1969, 06:00:00 PM »
Ball NPS Score: Not Available
- Core Type: EZ Rev
- Mass Bias Differential: .028
- 60 Degree Avg. Spin Time: 5.1 seconds
- Coverstock: Extended Ra Pearl Reactive
- Factory Finish: 4000 Grit
- Flare Potential: Large
- Differential: .046
- RG: 2.509
- Color: Blurple Berry Pearl
- Description: Learning from all the valuable research recently performed by the USBC in regards to coverstock Ra values (the height and depth of the microscopic "spikes" and "pores" on the surface of a bowling ball), and their direct effect on a cover''''s performance capabilities, MoRich developed the all new Extended Ra Pearl Reactive Cover. This incredible new cover increases the Ra value, allowing the LevRG RESPONSE to deliver the most responsive and continuous ball reaction the industry has ever seen! Coverstock Notes: All new formula designed to raise the Ra value of the cover thus providing improved contact between the ball and the lane surface. Although the Extended RA Pearl Reactive coverstock provides increased surface contact, the cover material is extremely "workable" and accepts sanding and polishing easily, allowing for breakpoint locations to occur sooner or later down the lane, depending upon the surface adjust made to the cover.
Core Notes: Density adjustments within the EZ Rev body, hood, and lower cap made it possible to increase the RG value while reducing the asymmetrical and total differentials. This change helps to generate a more powerful rev rate down the lane, allowing for stronger changes of directions on the backend with increased continuation.

Looks like another winner from Mo. Brother got this ball today for something near heavy oil. Got a Seek and Destroy, but needs more backend. MB is past the VAL, P1 hole on PAP, sanded to 2000. Ball hooks a ton. Like any other Mo ball, it is a monster. Hooks in oil, really hooks in dry. Already shot 300 and 289 with it.

let me start off by saying i'm not a big fan of morich for myself personally, generally think their equipment better suits bowlers with less revs, playing more up the lane.

i drilled my response 85dg 4 1/2x45dg, very controllable layout. i was very impressed by how smooth and controllable this ball was. even when i tried to really lay into it on a house pattern never wanted to jump, and had a very contolled, smooth arc down the lane.... and also showed incredible hitting power.

I throw a lot of revs and it's tough to find a ball that doesn't overreact when the heads get blown out--this is that ball.  This is my favorite ball since the Revolution Rebel.  This is a very smooth arching ball and it hits like a ton of bricks.  I highly recommend using the "Control drilling" from Morich's site.  http://www.morichbowling.com/CoreTech/DrillingSheets/BoxDrillingsEZRev/BDEZRev_Page_2.pdf

We have another guy who rolls on average an 19mph 1st ball and he used the "strong midlane" set-up and the ball just obliterates the rack.

You will not be disappointed.

This is a very versatile ball, just adjust the coverstock to the lane conditions and you can use this ball under any condition.

I love Mo's stuff but I am sorry to say this but i regret getting this ball.  The first time i drilled it for a sharp break point and it went down the lane started to come over then flat out just stopped.  I was shocked so was my pro shop operator.  We plugged and re drilled it with a dual angle of 35 by 20 once again it just didn't seem to do anything.  We tried sanding to 2000 than 1000 than 360 abralon.  I am in the process of plugging it and re drilling it with  10 x 20 degrees.  After talking with a few people I came to the conclusion that my ball was just a bad batch.  I am buying a new one and trying it over again I will let you guys know how it goes.  I love morich and hope that i come back with great news.

I wanted to say this ball is great on a house shot when you have wet/dry situation going on.When i drilled the LevRG Response i wanted a very smooth ball reaction that was continous but wouldn't jump when i hit the friction and that i have.I drilled it with the pin 4x50x50 with a 29/32 hole in the p3 position with 2000 abralon.Liked i said this ball reads the midlane and has a medium transition and very smooth. It really rolls through the pins.It works best when playing straighter through the fronts>i dont suggest trying to circle the lane too much with this ball.

55 x 3 1/2 x 25 - Cover 4000 (oob)

This is one of my favorite balls of all time.  This ball is extremely versatile because of the aforementioned drilling.  I find if I go "up the back" of this ball I'm able to keep it in play and its very smooth.  If I go around the side of it, it is a strong arching hooking ball.  Both releases are very continuous and I seem to have good to great carry with it.  I used this ball with success in my summer Kegel pattern league.

LevRG Response #2

75 x 5 x 25 (p2 hole)

Concept

I have fallen in love with throwing a big hook lately.  I had this crazy idea to make a medium heavy oil ball into a dry lanes ball by drilling it up to go long.  I initially tried this ball without the p2 extra hole.  It was extremely long with very little on the back end.

P2 Hole Drilled

I was getting impatient with it so I had a p2 hole (p2 is a hole on your pap that adds about 11% more hook).  This ball got a shot of adrenaline and really came alive.  It became much more predictable and turned the corner a lot harder.

Lane Conditions / Reactions

I am able to throw a big banana with this ball if I try to crank on it.  I can also come up the back of it and play straighter.  Both releases create tremendous hitting power and carry.  This ball, because of the long drilling can kick out 10 pins pretty consistently when I play inside.

Conclusions

If you're throwing a MoRich or any other ball you're not completely satisfied with talk to your local proshop about the gradient line balance hole system.  It will change the dynamics of your ball and create different break points to better suit your game.

A hole on your pap would be a P1 hole!
