Post by: bowl4jc on July 28, 2007, 07:49:41 AM
Hello i have never tried mo rich looking for a good 2 ball combo.  One for medium to oily and one for lighter.  I was considering the Ravage and Awesome Finish...Any input would be appreciated

Pretty sure that's the best deal out there right now if you throw 15.

For lighter conditions, the Sahara is a must - already pretty strong, covers anything medium-dry to medium. "Above", I'd also say a Revs due to its particle coverstock, and you might change the surface to your needs.

Revs, Strong drill box finish is as strong in not stronger than my Seek And Destroy it would be a great choice for the Juice, for lighter stuff my Flip is my choice drilled to go long and break.

It really depends on what kind of player you are. I could not use the Sahara on anything under medium lanes myself. Unless, I wanted to drill one/castrate one with a crazy drilling. Then, you sacrifice hitting power IMO.

The revs was great for control and it kept my decent amouint of revs under control on crazy backends. Good for Medium/Heavy when you could play up the boards or use a small swing shot. As soon as you have to move left and start coming around the ball, forget about it. This ball hates axis rotation and it would not recover. Hell, when you had to use alot of axis rotation, it would hardly wrinkle. I had mine drilled assy. flip BTW.

I must add, this ball is one of the best if not, the best control ball ever. It keeps you out of TONS of trouble! On crazy backends or tough shots with some oil, there is no other ball I would want in my hands. So predicatable and so consistant when the lanes are going through transition. Hell, at times throwing it, you never knew it was transitioning until you saw everyone else having fits. You were still striking away though. LOL!

Really, I had a seek and a Revs drilled the same way. I guess they would both handle oil about the same or so but, they did it for me in a totally different way. I could cross boards with the Seek but, the revs hated crossing many boards. They are both good choices depending on what your poison is. In 95% of cases, give me the Seek becasue I usually like to go left to right.
