Yes....very good ball. Good reaction for the lighter/medium oil. I got one and drilled it for my daughter and it plays as its intended to.

I really like the MOjave as a light oil ball and for house shots on wood lanes. The core is strong compared to most light oil balls. IMO they are the snappiest of the EZ Rev core line.  The only issues I have with my MOjaves is throwing them through the break point but that's because I'm forcing it on a medium condition. If you change the surface from the 4000 oob to a 2000, it can easily handle a THS.

Drill it strong? Weak layouts on a weak ball generally doesn't work for me.

Suggestions??

This ball is incredible.  I throw it almost exclusivley on old wood on my Thurs night league (medium - light oil).  AWESOME on cheetah as well.  Mine has a 5" pin (i''d have to text my driller if you wanted the specific layout), so it''s weak, but it has a great "pop" off the dry, and for me a good carry percentage.  Not yet used it on "true" toasted heads.  The cover is PK17, which I think is the same as the slingshot, but this ball should have a little more hit b/c of the core.  If you see carry down, bench it immediately.  

I don''t see why a strong layout wouldn''t work either on it as the nature of the ball is so timid....

I will say this,  my next progression up is the xxxl starburst.

Pin below fingers 4" ptp with a 40 degree layout..

Ball is great for "lighter" oil conditions, but really not a light oil ball..

Still, on medium conditions, it does vert well..

With its high RG (2.6) and low RG Diff (.32), it's going to be a light oil ball for 90% of bowlers.

With its minimal but significant MB (.008"), the MB placement will always be of some relative importance.

Placing the pin above the fingers (5" - 6") will allow high rev bowlers to use it on the lightest of oils.

Placing the pin at or below the fingers with a strong pin placement of 3.5"- 4", will allow rev dominant bowlers to use it on medium-light to medium oil, with possible modifications to the PK 17 pearl surface.

It can serve a wealth of purposes, if you know what kind of bowler you are and you know for what purpose you want to use it.
